(Note: except for the first and last image, these aren’t real screenshots. I edited them to simulate what I’m 95% sure was the original intention for these lines.)

happy birthday, UNDERTALE.
i could do a heartfelt speech about how much joy it brought me, how many friends it gave me, how many tears it made me shed, but also I’ve been drawing UNDERTALE stuff pretty much non-stop since it came out so I think that’d be kinda redundant.
i’ve had this playlist on the back burner for a while but it was only today that i realized that alphys is a monitor lizard. i’m so angry. i’m not changing the title because if i have to suffer from this pun, so does everyone else.

Jeeeez, I can’t believe I did it, but I did it! W-well, at least a part of it. For some reason I wanted to draw out this scene so badly and I do plan on completing it, but I don’t know how long it’ll take me. This strip took me 1.5 months now, so yeah. But I finally wanted to get out some quality stuff again.
Undertale is a gem. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so enchanted by a game or any fictional story. I could probably write a hundred paragraphs and still not be done expressing my love for the brilliant plot, all these lovable characters and everything.
So what is the “something else” that might begin development in 2016? We have some hints.
First, unless he’s changed his mind (which is, you know, allowed), it seems to have something to do with the world of Undertale.
The “other game” is listed as being something that will show “more of the world of Undertale and its characters”, and there is, again, the tagline, “Its very nature is shrouded in darkness”.
So what might this have to do with Gaster?
Well, apparently it has to do with looking for “hidden secrets” like “triple bossfights against wingdings”. (tweet can be found by searching “undertale its very nature is shrouded in darkness“)
And Gaster’s lab entry 17 reads as follows…
“ENTRY NUMBER SEVENTEEN
DARK DARKER YET DARKER THE DARKNESS KEEPS GROWING THE SHADOWS CUTTING DEEPER PHOTON READINGS NEGATIVE THIS NEXT EXPERIMENT SEEMS VERY VERY INTERESTING
WHAT DO YOU TWO THINK?”
On top of that, the NPC Suzy, who never appears, seems to have gained importance in the patch. In the patch, this line has been added to the dialogue.
* Her name is “Suzy”. * I feel like you two should& be friends. * You have… * A neighbor’s blessing!!! * Not knowing where I live is no issue. * Fate finds a way. * In life’s grand scheme, she might be why you came here in the first place…
After this, if you check Sans’s lab you’ll find a drawing you couldn’t find before, of “three smiling people”.
There’s also the remaining mystery of what this…
machine in the True Lab is, and what exactly Alphys stopped herself from saying to Frisk here…
…about the CORE, which Gaster created.
And while we’re talking about Gaster, I’m going to point out a few lines that seemed off to me.
Apparently his experiments went wrong, and he fell into the CORE. But you do experiments in the lab, right? How did he end up falling from the CORE after his experiments failed?
Why is Alphys in particular – out of all the many monsters you find in the CORE, especially around bridges – at danger from falling from a great height into the CORE like Gaster did after a failure?
The fall into the CORE was never described as an accident.
Let’s play “When will Olivia figure out how she wants to draw Frisk”
Decided
to practice trying to make panels dynamic/interesting, and also just
comic pages in general because practice is desperately needed. Also
still practicing digital drawing as a whole because it still takes me
forever to do anything digitally should actually SKETCH and not just
practice digital art on big, finished things??? Also i can never get colours to look the way I imagined in my head, or look the way I think they should?
Anyway, when Asriel said this, it just punched me in the chest. It just kinda resonated with me and ever since first coming across it I’ve wanted to draw something for it
