draikinator:

I finished undertale ten months ago, and it honestly was one of my absolute favourite media experiences of all time- it had such a profound experience on me. On today, the one year anniversary of its release, I wanted to complete a drawing I made on some computer paper at a friend’s house a few days after I finished the game! It was fun to do, and to see all the things I’ve learned how to draw since then, and to think about the things that now I would want to add or change. It was also funny to laugh at mettaton’s unfixable face and Undyne’s inexplicable proportions. But, like the game, I find it endearing.

In any case, happy birthday to my favourite game, Undertale!

ponett:

on undertale’s anniversary, here’s something to consider:

don’t be afraid to celebrate the things you love just because the fandom is embarrassing. all large fandoms are inherently going to be overly eager, obsessive, weird, and loud by the nature of fandoms. that doesn’t change whether or not that thing at the center of the fandom is special to you

listen, okay. 2016 has been a terrible year, and we are constantly bombarded with more bad news than we are equipped to handle on social media. if you have something that makes you really happy, cherish it. there is nothing wrong with using your social media presence to say that something harmless makes you happy

So. Undertale.

This game is very important to me! It helped me get through a lotta stuff, helped me grow as an artist and a person, helped me stay determined. Never expected a video game to make such a big impact on my life, but here we are.

I’m not very good at speeches, so i’m just gonna say this: thank you, Toby, and thank you, Undertale. Happy

one year anniversary! c’:
