Part 3! I almost can’t believe I’m actually getting this done. But I think I honestly never had so much fun with drawing facial expressions like with these two adorable nerds. I never even knew how much I’d enjoy drawing thick eyebrows. So, part 4 will probably the last one. And I really have no clue how fast I can get that done, because right now I don’t even now how I’ll approach it. Too many options, ugh.
But for now, I hope you’ll enjoy this as much as I do!

Whooho! Here’s part 2 and I’ve acutally been a little faster with that one! I’m also slowly getting the hang of how to draw Alphys, she’s incredibly tricky. Meanwhile Undyne is refreshingly easy to do, because she lacks the human features I’m most troubled with – ears and nose! =B
About the white stripeys in the background, um … Well, I needed a light source for the shading I chose, so I invented one! They want to be distant cracks in the cave walls, when they grow up, letting in light of the outside world. Let’s not talk about how this probably doesn’t make much sense.

Jeeeez, I can’t believe I did it, but I did it! W-well, at least a part of it. For some reason I wanted to draw out this scene so badly and I do plan on completing it, but I don’t know how long it’ll take me. This strip took me 1.5 months now, so yeah. But I finally wanted to get out some quality stuff again.

Undertale is a gem. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so enchanted by a game or any fictional story. I could probably write a hundred paragraphs and still not be done expressing my love for the brilliant plot, all these lovable characters and everything.

Golden Flowers in Undertale

so this has probably been discussed tons of times before but I wanted to spend some time talking about the symbolism of golden flowers in Undertale, and how the inclusion of golden flowers in a scene can act as a visual shorthand for other things.

Like 70% of this post is about Alphys and how golden flowers are used to represent her guilt and anxiety, but there’s also some discussion about the Boss Monster family.

this is an excellent post; and by god i will chicken peck the n my phone to add a small thought. which. since i can’t use a readmore is going to get creative. Spoilers ho?
There’s only really one person we know has directly interacted with Flowey since Flowey began _____ possibly consistently; at least by the time you arrive. Papyrus.
Papyrus, for whatever reason, can interact with grief. Even if floweys motives are bad, he talks to him. encourages him. Papyrus listens to him.
Sans, meanwhile presumes what he’s being told about is something else. Or he approaches talking about it and chooses to pull away, depending on how you look at it.
Papyrus embraces how he feels, as a person. He is the single most aware person in the game.
Sans deflects, or chooses to not recognize them.
