what does “the quick removal of ‘HE IS’” tell us though? how does that have any meaning.

saveloadreset:

It makes its actual insertion into the strings in the first place more secretive, more round-the-bout than if it had remained.

‘HE IS’ did not come from 1.5, it did not come from 1.6. It came from 1.5A, a temporary update-between-updates that existed for about a week before we moved on to 1.6 properly, without any word about the update from Toby whatsoever.

To be quite frank, now that 1.6 is released, you basically have no proof aside from the agreement of others that have hacked the old 1.5A strings that we are telling the truth about this at all.

And this change? 1.5A’s biggest change was a single new line to the strings. ‘HE IS.’ A line that disappeared in the next version. It’s an interesting choice, isn’t it? Either Toby changed his mind and decided it would be better not to include it in the final version, (except, then why would he display it like this at all?) or he’s deliberately trying to ‘gate’ this information between micro updates.

By itself, it doesn’t say a great deal. But who knows, it may be part of the larger picture. In time.
